Detention Basin #1 near Confederate Cove

Due to the unusual amount of rain, there may be several more small blasting events before the detention basin can be completed.

Construction update, May 31

We anticipate blasting today, Thursday, May 31, in the afternoon.  The time will depend upon the weather.

Additional information will be posted as it becomes available.

Construction Update May 30

The contractors are planning to conduct one blast today in Detention Basin #1 (by Confederate Cove), if the rain holds off.  They anticipate that it will occur at approximately 2:30 p.m.

Blasting today, May 29

The contractors have just notified us that they will proceed with blasting this afternoon, most likely between 2 and 3 p.m.  If we get additional information prior to the blast, I will pass it along.

We will all be spending more time outside as the weather improves and children are out of school for the summer.   It is important for everyone’s safety that all of us avoid the Kendal construction area.  No unauthorized visitors should be on any portion of the site that is fenced and/or marked No Trespassing.

Construction Update May 24

There will be no blasting on the construction site at Kendal tomorrow, May 25.  

All work will be suspended on Monday, May 28, for the Memorial Day holiday.

There will be no blasting today, Wednesday, May 23.  We anticipate that there will be blasting tomorrow;  more information as it becomes available.
